Requirements

Students who are completing an undergraduate specialization or graduate certification in Museum Studies must complete 15 credits including Foundations of Museum Studies (AL/HA/ANP 485), Museum Studies Internship (AL 493c, AL 496, AL 893), and at least three of the following:

  • Curatorial Methods and Practices (AL/HA/ANP 488), 3 credits
  • Park Interpretive Services and Visitor Information Systems (PRR 451), 3 credits
  • Learning in Museums (AL 498/PRR 498), 3 credits
  • Special Topics in Museum Studies (AL/HA/ANP 492), 1-3 credits
  • Museum Exhibitions: Theory and Development (AL/HA 494), 3 credits
  • Current Issues in Museums (AL/ANP 895), 3 credits
